Bryce Duke Named to 22 Under 22 presented by BODYARMOR

MIAMI (September 20, 2022) – Inter Miami CF midfielder Bryce Duke has been named to the 22 Under 22 presented by BODYARMOR, a list of the top 22 players in MLS under the age of 22 – as voted on by an expert panel consisting of MLSsoccer.com analysts, MLS Player Department staff and external media members. The creative midfielder came in as the 21st ranked player on the list among the league’s most promising young talents.

To be eligible for the list, players had to remain 21 or younger before the end of the 2022 MLS regular season (Decision Day on Oct. 9, 2022). Or in other words, they must be born on/after Oct. 10, 2000.

Duke, 21, was acquired by Inter Miami in a trade with LAFC on Jan. 4 and signed as a Homegrown Player. He went on to make his debut for the team on April 9, featuring as a substitute in a 3-2 win over the New England Revolution. Later that month, Duke hit a number of milestones with the club, making his first start in a U.S. Open Cup win over Miami FC, then scoring his first MLS goal in a 2-1 win over Atlanta United, and eventually making his first MLS start at the end of the month in another matchup against the Revolution.

Duke has quickly became a pivotal part of the Inter Miami squad despite his youth. So far this season, he has nearly doubled his previous MLS experience, appearing in 25 regular season matches (compared to 26 over two seasons with LAFC). The Arizona native midfielder has made 14 MLS starts with Inter Miami so far, tallying one goal and a team-leading six assists in the process.

Duke was also named to the MLS Team of the Week presented by Audi for Week 16 after registering an assist in a dramatic win over Minnesota United. He also contributed five key passes, five ball recoveries, nine duels won, and won both of his tackles in that match.
