Baseball – Sharks Fall Against Rollins

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – The Nova Southeastern Sharks Baseball team dropped game two of the three-game series 6-5 against the Rollins Tars on Saturday afternoon from the NSU Baseball Complex.

How it Happened
  • Henry Wallen got the Sharks on the scoreboard first, driving in Justin Wachs with a sacrifice fly in the bottom of first inning. 
  • NSU tacked on three more runs in the following frame, as Wachs drove in both MC Sagaro and Jorge Braceras with a two-run single. Tyson Cooper followed with an RBI single of his own, bringing in Zeth Rodriguez, and putting the Sharks ahead 4-0. 
  • Rollins scored a pair of runs in the top of the third, putting the score at 4-2. 
  • The Tars scored four more runs in the top of the fifth, taking a 6-4 lead over NSU. 
  • Wallen recorded his second RBI of the game, bringing in Wachs in the bottom of the seventh inning with an RBI ground out. 
  • Trailing 6-5 in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Sharks were able to get both the tying and winning runs in scoring position, but were unable to score either run, and lost the game 6-5.
