Baseball – NSU Drops Series Opener to #1 Tampa

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – The Nova Southeastern Sharks Baseball team returned to Sunshine State Conference action, hosting the top-ranked Spartans in a three-game series. NSU dropped the opening contest 11-1 on Thursday evening at the NSU Baseball Complex.

How it Happened

Tampa plated a pair of runs in the first inning, taking a 2-0 lead over NSU.
The Spartans added another three runs in the third inning, extending their lead to 5-0. 
UT scored two runs in the top of the fourth, putting the score at 7-0.
Justin Wachs got the Sharks on the board in the bottom of the fifth, driving in Bryan Loriga, with an RBI single. 
Tampa plated four runs in the top of the eighth, taking an 11-1 lead over the Sharks.
