American Athletic Conference Men’s Soccer Release – October 4

Battle for the Top

Four teams remain undefeated in American Athletic Conference league play as Charlotte and FIU sit at 3-0, while SMU and Tulsa hold 2-0 records.  SMU will take on FIU and Charlotte this week, as the Mustangs host the 49ers on Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET on ESPN+ before traveling to Miami for a Top 25 match up to take on FIU on Sunday at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN+.

Florida Atlantic Earns First Conference Win

The Owls picked up their first conference win of the season on Friday, finishing with a clean sheet against Memphis.  Chad Mayati helped lead a back line that held the Tigers without a shot on goal for the entire contest, while Noah Kvifte hit the game-winning goal in the 85th minute.

Dallmann’s Impressive Career

SMU graduate forward Jelldrik Dallmann currently leads all NCAA Division I players in career goals per game (0.80) and points per game (1.70).  A transfer from Lipscomb, Dallmann has 32 career goals and four assists. On the season, he leads The American with seven goals.

For the Win

Two American Athletic Conference players have proven to be among the most clutch players in the country this season as Lineker Rodrigues dos Santos of Memphis and Jelldrik Dallmann of SMU are both Top 10 in game winning goals.  Rodrigues dos Santos has four on the year (2nd in the nation), while Dallmann has three on the season (6th in the nation).
