IN THE RANKINGS

Memphis moves up four spots to No. 15 in the AP Top 25, while Florida Atlantic comes in at No. 17. The Tigers and Owls are also ranked 15th and 17th in the USA Today Coaches Poll, respectively.

OFFENSIVE EFFICIENCY

Vladislav Goldin of Florida Atlantic is shooting 74.5 percent from the field, which ranks first in the nation with five or more field goals made per game. Tulane ranks seventh in the nation as a team, shooting 51.1 percent from the field, while Florida Atlantic is 15th at 50.1 percent. The Green Wave is also seventh in the country in scoring at 89.8 points per game.

TAKING ADVANTAGE FROM THE CHARITY STRIPE

Tulane ranks first in the nation in both free throws made per game (23.2) and free throws attempted per game (31.1).

CRANKING UP THE DEFENSE

North Texas ranks fifth in the country in scoring defense at 58.9 points per game allowed, while Tulane ranks 11th in the nation with 10.4 steals per contest. SMU ranks second nationally in field goal percentage defense at 36.3 percent.

SURGING TIGERS

Memphis has defeated four teams when they were ranked this season, including three in a row at Texas A&M and at home against Clemson and Virginia. The Tigers also defeated Arkansas in the Bahamas. The Tigers’ 11-2 start is their best since the 2019-20 season (11-1). David Jones leads The American with 21.2 points per game and is the only player in the country averaging at least 21 points, six rebounds and two steals.
