American Athletic Conference Announces Women’s Basketball Weekly Awards

IRVING, Texas – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of the league’s weekly women’s basketball awards for the week ending Sunday, February 18.

Player of the Week

Jordyn Jenkins, Sr., F, UTSA

In her first week back this season, Jenkins helped deliver an impressive win over first-place North Texas for the Roadrunners. She scored 29 points, grabbed four rebounds, three steals and two blocks to hand the Mean Green their first home loss of the season.

Freshman of the Week

Aysia Proctor, Fr., G, UTSA

Proctor scored in double-figures in both games for the Roadrunners, averaging 13 points for the week. In the win over first-place North Texas, Proctor scored 16 points, while dishing out two assists. She added 10 points and seven rebounds against Tulsa.

Weekly Honor Roll

Dazia Lawrence, R-Jr., G, Charlotte

Lawrence scored 30 points on 12-of-20 shooting to lift the 49ers past Memphis, 65-56.

Malia Fisher, Jr., F, Rice

Fisher had a pair of 20-point outings, scoring 22 points against East Carolina and 20 points at UAB.

Romi Levy, R-Jr., F, South Florida

Levy averaged 24.5 points against Wichita State and Florida Atlantic. She scored 28 points against Wichita State, including going 11-of-12 from the charity stripe.

Reagan Bradley, Gr., G, SMU

Bradley led the Mustangs to a 2-0 week with wins over Tulane and Charlotte. She had an 11 point, 10 assist double-double in the win over the 49ers.

Delanie Crawford, Jr., G, Tulsa

Crawford averaged 22 points for the Golden Hurricane, including a 29-point performance against Wichita State.
