American Athletic Conference Announces Softball Weekly Awards

IRVING, Texas – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of the league’s weekly softball awards for the week ending Sunday, February 18.

Player of the Week

Presley Leebrick, Gr., OF, Florida Atlantic

Leebrick helped guide the Owls to five wins this week, including two over teams receiving votes in Louisville and Michigan. Leebrick had a hit in five of six games played. She hit .412 for the week with eight home runs, including going 3-for-5 with three RBI in the win over (RV) Louisville.

Pitcher of the Week

Trinity Schlotterbeck, Gr., Florida Atlantic

Schlotterbeck led the Owls to two wins over teams receiving votes, tossing a complete game shutout over (RV) Michigan. She came in on relief against (RV) Louisville, tossing 4.2 innings and allowing no runs with two strikeouts.  She finished the week with a 0.84 ERA across 16.2 innings pitched.

Weekly Honor Roll

Morgan Johnson, Gr., UTL, East Carolina

Johnson led the Pirates to five wins, finishing with 16 RBI on the week. She had multiple RBI in three of the six games played.

Lena Elkins, So., P, Charlotte

Elkins held a 0.81 ERA across two games for the 49ers, which included a no-hitter against Canisius.

Payton Dixon, R-So., P/UTL, South Florida

Dixon earned two wins in the circle for South Florida, taking down Kansas and Boston College. She finished with 12 strikeouts in 15.2 innings pitched.

Camryn Robillard, Jr., INF, UTSA

Robillard had six RBI for the Roadrunners, including going 2-for-2 with two home runs to start the week against Houston.

Anneca Anderson, Fr., P, Tulsa

Anderson earned a pair of wins in two appearances. She finished the week with a 0.64 ERA and threw a complete game against Texas State.

Bailey Urban, R-Sr., OF, Wichita State

Urban hit the go-ahead two-run double in the top of the 7th to lift the Shockers past No. 21 South Carolina.
