IRVING, Texas – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of the league’s weekly golf honors, for the competition week ending March 5.
Men’s Golf Player of the Week
Jake Peacock, Sr. – South Florida
Peacock shot a 9-under 207 at the Lake Las Vegas Intercollegiate in Las Vegas, Nevada. He took first place at the tournament, his first win as a Bull. In his final round, he carded six birdies to shoot five under and move from third place to first place.
Women’s Golf Player of the Week
Camryn Carreon, Sr. – UTSA
Carreon tied for fourth place at the UNF Collegiate in Jacksonville, Florida, shooting a 7-under 209 to led UTSA to a second-place finish. Carreon finished with a team-high 11 birdies on the week and finished with her 18th career top-10 finish.
