BOCA RATON, Fla. – Florida Atlantic Hagerty Family Head Football Coach Tom Herman announced that the 2024 Spring Game will be played at noon, on Saturday, April 13 in FAU Stadium.
The spring game will conclude the allotted 15 spring practice sessions allowed by the NCAA. Following a busy December, the Owls welcomed 32 newcomers to the roster (Click HERE for full roster) in January. In total, more than 100 players are on campus working towards individual strength and conditioning goals and will pick up with their football skill and playbook work very soon.
The Owls return linebacker Jackson Ambush, who led the team a year ago with 89 total tackles. He finished the season ranked fifth among all American Athletic Conference tacklers and earned a spot on Phil Steele’s All-AAC team. Also working with the team and scheduled to return after suffering a season-ending injury a year ago is safety Amari-Eli Adams. Adams has been with the program since 2018 and has 49 games played under his belt. Fellow veteran Latrell Jean will get things started up front with 45 games played and 65 career tackles, including 12 for a loss. Offensively, the Owls running game will look to Zuberi Mobley, who was sidelined a year ago after three games. Both BJ Alexander and Zeke Moore will return after seeing action in every game last season. The duo will be joined by a host of newcomers in the receiver/tight end rooms. Up front, starting center Federico Maranges will return to anchor a strong but young offensive line.
FAU will gain valuable time working together this spring and will then welcome a second group of June newcomers to the squad, including a blend of 2023 December signees class who continue to work towards completing high school, and a few transfers.
