Women’s Swimming Maintains Top Spot after Day Two at SCAD Invitational

BOCA RATON, Fla. – Lynn University’s women’s swimming team concluded its second day of competition at the Savannah College of Art and Design’s (SCAD) Invitational meet on Friday, sitting in first place after the first three sessions.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

·         Samantha Beck and Samar Khacha went one-two in the 400-IM with solid times of 4:24.33 and 4:26.49, respectively.

·         Clara Monges posted a 56.57 in the final of the 100-fly, good for second place.

·         Karolina Smylek claimed the gold in the 100-backstroke, touching the wall in 55.82.

·         Smylek, Beck, Monges and Osiniak took first in the 4×100 medley relay with a finals time of 3:48.37.

BEYOND THE HEAT SHEET:

·         Beck and Khacha’s times were both good for NCAA cuts.

·         Lynn will look to secure a victory for the women’s program at SCAD after finishing second in 2018.
