Women’s Golf: Lynn University Finishes Sixth at World Golf Invitational

SAINT AUGUSTINE, Fla. – Lynn University’s women’s golf team finished sixth at its first tournament of the 2020 season, the World Golf Invitational, hosted by Flagler College.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

·       Helen Kreuzer finished tied-fifth after a final-round 72 (E).

·       Matilda Wahren was also in the top-10 with a second-round 72 (E), finishing tied-seventh.

·       Lynn’s 308 was two strokes better than its opening round 310.

BEYOND THE SCORECARD:

·       Lynn and Nova Southeastern were the only two schools with multiple players in the top-10.

·       Kreuzer was fourth in the field in par-four scoring, finishing at even.

·       Both Kreuzer and Wahren were tied-fifth with six birdies each.

NEXT COURSE:

Lynn is back next week, Feb. 17-18, at the Lady Moc Classic at Grasslands Country Club in Lakeland, Fla., hosted by Florida Southern College.
