Women’s Basketball Signs Baker for 2020-21

BOCA RATON, Fla. – Lynn University’s women’s basketball program announced the signing of Alexandra Baker on Tuesday, the first member of the Fighting Knights’ 2020-21 recruiting class.

Baker will make her way to Boca Raton from Pulborough, West Sussex, U.K. after an outstanding prep career at Charnwood College. The 6-2 forward has made appearances for Great Britain’s under-16 and under-18 national teams, participating in the FIBA U-18 European Games in 2019.

“Alex is an excellent addition to our roster and will help fill a huge role for us in the post on both ends of the floor,” commented Lynn head coach Julia Huddleston Tucker. “Her ability to score from all levels is impressive for her size. However, we are just as excited about her passion for defense and her ability to block shots.”
