Women’s Basketball: Palm Beach Atlantic 68, Lynn University 65


WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. –
 Lynn University’s women’s basketball team made a furious second half comeback on the road at Palm Beach Atlantic, but fell 68-65 in Sunshine State Conference (SSC) play on Wednesday night.

STATS OF THE GAME:

·      Sarah Baer scored a game-high 19 points and collected eight rebounds to pace the Lynn attack.

·      Taylor Jones racked up 12 points, her third straight game in double-figures since returning to action.

·      Kelsi Fizer added nine points and six rebounds, blocking one shot in 26 minutes.

·      Despite being down 47-28 at the half, Lynn used a 19-6 third quarter to climb back into the game. Uloma Enyogasi hit a jumper to give the Fighting Knights the lead at the 7:47 mark, but some big Sailfish free throws down the stretch sealed the win for PBA. 

BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:

·      Lynn and Nova Southeastern are now tied for the fourth spot in the SSC standings, two games clear of fifth place. The Fighting Knights defeated NSU at home earlier this season and go to Fort Lauderdale for a tilt with the Sharks on Wednesday, Feb. 12 at 5:30 p.m.

·      Enyogasi had scored in double figures in her last seven games.
