BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — Athlon Sports released its preseason All-Conference USA Teams Monday with 12 WKU Football players making the cut across the four teams.
Offensive lineman Quantavious Leslie and kicker Brayden Narveson highlight the preseason teams for WKU by being named first team offense and special teams, respectively.
The second team featured offensive lineman Rusty Staats along with defensive lineman Darius Shipp and defensive back Kahlef Hailassie.
Athlon Sports’ third team is where WKU saw the bulk of its honorees listed with wide receiver Daewood Davis and tight end Joshua Simon representing the offensive side of the ball. Four defenders also landed on the third team with defensive lineman Juwuan Jones, linebacker Will Ignont, linebacker Jaden Hunter and defensive back A.J. Brathwaite, Jr. all making the cut.
Wide receiver Malachi Corley rounded out the selections for the Hilltoppers by finding his way on the fourth-team offensive list.

WKU will open the 2022 season on Saturday, Aug. 27 at home against Austin Peay. Kickoff is slated for 11 a.m. CT.
