Wildcats Prove to be No Match for Fighting Knights

BOCA RATON, Fla. – Lynn men’s basketball jumped out to a double-digit halftime lead and never looked back against Johnson & Wales. Led by Sunshine State Player of the Week Christian Peevy and his game-high 27 points, the Fighting Knights won going away, 94-76.

STATS OF THE GAME:

–          After missing just two shots against Embry-Riddle, Peevy went 14-for-15 from the free throw line and 1-for-1 from deep.

–          Jordan Allen led the team in rebounds with 13 and added nine points.

–          Senior Darius Moore knocked down four triples and scored 17 points.

–          Cameron Gaines was also in double figures with 10.

–          Peevy, Allen and Kenny Nwachukwu all finished with a plus minus over 20.

SCHEDULE CHANGE:

–          Lynn University will be hosting the NCAA South Regional Volleyball Tournament and that caused the Fighting Knights and Florida Tech to move their game scheduled for Dec. 7 from the de Hoernle Center to Melbourne.

–          The teams will swap home dates. The Panthers will come to Boca on Feb. 1.
