What is YOUR next Mission? 2020

The holidays are behind us once again. Each moment forward is in preparation for a new year, new goals for both business and pleasure, along with New Year’s resolutions.
New Year’s resolutions, the desire and intent to make a change which seems to require a designated start date in order to make an effort to develop this new habit.
So…we celebrate the New Year at midnight, then what do we do? What is that first step toward change? Business resumes in full force with a new budget, new financial projections, and a new lineup of events we will attend to build new business.
Will we begin the new year by switching on automatic pilot and doing things the way we have always done? What can we do different? Why should we do it differently? The first step is to figure out those answers. How can you implement a resolution without having the information you need to reach the goal? That would be like trying to drive across country without directions and a map to get you there. You could potentially drive around in circles or way off course unless you know where you are going, right?
Though there are never any guarantees of success, our intention is always to meet our projected budget of expenses and increase revenue by building new business. The problem with turning on automatic pilot is that we cannot continue to do everything the same when everything around us changes.
Does a New Year’s resolution often feel like mission impossible? Is it your business identity or your personal identity that interprets the resolution as mission impossible? What if you merged your business and personal identities to become the best version of yourself in all environments? Would any decision seem more possible if you felt like your genuine self without exception?
Though there are so many questions, the lack of having these answers affect our ability to fulfill our resolutions. I can remember so many consecutive years in the past when I made the same New Year’s resolution that never was achieved. As I reflect back, it is obvious to me now that I was not one identity, I was not “ME”. I had a fragmented existence. Who I was professionally was very different than my individual personality, as common as this may sound. When I finally realized that I could choose not to “have to” be fragmented, my New Year’s resolutions

were no longer necessary. Becoming the best version of myself in all aspects of my life allows me to regularly make decisions with positive intention. When you make choices with positive intention, no mission is impossible.
This year, in 2020, will you experience mission impossible or begin the New Year with a possible mission?
It’s the first “ME” MondayTM of 2020! If you haven’t discovered your secret identity(the best version of yourself that you haven’t met yet) for your next mission, make your New Year’s resolution today to become the “ME” you want to be!
