BOCA RATON, Fla. – Florida Atlantic women’s basketball (9-17, 4-11 AAC) is prepped for another midweek matchup this week, hosting the Tulane Green Wave (10-16, 3-12 AAC) on Wednesday, Feb. 28 for the Owls’ Black History Month game. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. inside Eleanor R. Baldwin Arena.

FLORIDA ATLANTIC: AT A GLANCE
Florida Atlantic enters this week’s matchup at 9-17 overall and 4-11 in American Athletic Conference play and have won four of their last eight contests.
As a team, the Owls rank in the top half of the league in a few different categories, coming in third in fouls per game (15.3), fourth in bench points per game (21.0), 3-point percentage (.324), and 3-pointers per game (6.4), fifth in 3-point attempts per game (19.8), and sixth in free throw attempts per game (18.4).
The Owls are led offensively by Aniya Hubbard, who has tallied 18.2 points per game this season. Mya Perry and Jada Moore round out the Owls’ double-figure scorers, recording 12.0 and 10.6 points per game this season.
Moore also leads the Owls in assists, dishing out a team-best 2.1 assists per game.
Janeta Rozentale leads the Owls on the glass, tallying a team-high 9.0 rebounds per game.
Hubbard is the Owls’ steals leader, collecting 2.5 steals per game and Dyllan Hanna has led the Owls in blocks, recording 0.8 blocks per game.
LAST TIME OUT
The Owls battled tough but fell on the road at UTSA this past Sunday, 76-60.

Scott tallied a team-high 16 points, shooting (5-of-7) from the field, 50 percent (2-of-3) from 3-point range, and a perfect 100 percent (4-of-4) at the line. She also added two assists and a steal.
Mya Perry finished with 10 points, shooting 50 percent (3-of-6) from the field, 33 percent (1-of-3) from beyond the arc, and going 3-of-5 from the line, and tallying a block.
Janeta Rozentale led the Owls on the boards, pulling down a team-high six.
The Owls outscored the Roadrunners 23-20 in the third quarter and also held an 11-9 advantage in fastbreak points.
SCOUTING TULANE
Tulane enters Wednesday’s contest at 10-16 overall and 3-12 in AAC play. The Green Wave are on a five-game skid.As a team, the Green Wave lead the AAC in assists per game (15.7) and fouls per game (14.8). They also rank in the AAC top-5 in a few different categories, coming in second in free throw percentage (.773), third in 3-pointers per game (7.2) and 3-point attempts per game (22.2), and fifth in 3-point percentage (32.4), field goal percentage (41.7), and assists to turnover ratio (0.94).
The Green Wave are led by Kyren Whittington, Marta Galic, Hannah Pratt, and Amira Mabry, averaging 15.7, 13.4, 10.8, and 10.8 points per game, respectively.
Kaylah Rainey leads Tulane in assists, averaging 3.9 assists per contest.
Defensively, Irina Parau boasts a team-leading 6.4 rebounds per game, in addition to leading the Green Wave in blocks, tallying 0.8 blocks per game.
Whittington leads Tulane in steals, recording 2.6 steals per game this season.
SERIES HISTORY
Florida Atlantic trails Tulane 0-2 in the all-time series. The Owls have only hosted the Green Wave once in Boca Raton, falling 74-62 on Feb. 12, 2014. The last matchup between the two programs was on Nov. 28, 2018, which saw Tulane capture a 88-45 victory in New Orleans.
