Walton Jr. Tallies First Career Triple-Double in Win Over Windy City

Detroit—The Cruise defeated the Windy City Bulls 112-108 on Wednesday night, marking their first win of the regular season.

              Returning to the team after signing a 10-day contract with the Pistons, Derrick Walton Jr. tallied his first triple-double as a professional. Walton scored 20 points to go along with 11 rebounds and 16 assists, a new career-high. Walton’s triple-double is the first in Motor City Cruise history.

              Another standout for the Cruise on Wednesday night was Cheick Diallo. Like Walton, Diallo is also returning from a 10-day contract with the Pistons. Diallo scored a career-high 28 points and grabbed 14 rebounds. Dating back to the Showcase Cup Tournament, this marks the third consecutive game Diallo has scored 20+ points and grabbed 10+ rebounds.

              The Cruise are back in action when they take on the Capital City Go Go on Saturday, January 8, at 7:00 PM ET. Motor City returns to Wayne State Fieldhouse on Sunday, January 16, when they take on the College Park Skyhawks at 3:00 PM ET
