USF’s Duncan Agyemang Advances to Eugene in the 400M Hurdles

Agyemang is the third Bull to punch their ticket to the 2021 NCAA Championships. 

JACKSONVILLE, Fla., MAY 28, 2021 – The USF track and field team punched its third ticket to the NCAA Championships, on Friday, when senior Duncan Agyemang finished 10th in the 400M hurdles at the NCAA East Regional Prelims in Jacksonville.

Agyemang joins Shaniya Benjamin (Tampa, Fla.), who finished in the top 12 in the long jump on Thursday, andpole vaulter Stone Baker (New Port Richey, Fla.), who advanced on Wednesday to the championships in Eugene, Ore. June 9-12.

A native of Kumasi, Ghana, Agyemang posted a personal best time of 50.82, surpassing his previous best of 51.01 set at the 2021 American Athletic Conference Championships, en route to a second-place finish.

Agyemang will compete at the championships on Wednesday, June 9, at 10 p.m. ET in the semifinals.
