Tampa, Fla. – Feb. 3, 2025 – South Florida women’s basketball graduate guard Sammie Puisis has been tabbed to the U.S. Basketball Writers Association (USBWA) Ann Meyers Drysdale Award Midseason Watch List, announced by the organization on Monday.
GRADUATE GUARD SAMMIE PUISIS SEASON HIGHLIGHTS
- Puisis is ranked 5th nationally in Total 3-pointers made (67 3PM) and 12th in 3-pointers made per game (2.9 3PM Avg.).
- Has logged 17 double-digit performances, and five 20-plus point outings this campaign.
- Connected on three or more 3-pointers in 11 games this season.
- Averaging 14.4 points per game through 23 games this season.
- Puisis is the third Bull in program history to have 20+ points in a win against an AP Top-10 opponent and the second ever Bull to shoot 100% from 3-point range in a win against an AP Top-10 opponent. (vs. Duke, Dec. 21).
- Named USBWA Player of the Week and AP Player of the Week Honorable Mention Dec. 24).
- Earned A Single AAC Player of the Week Honor (Dec. 23) and five Honor Roll mentions.
- Puisis was selected to the WBCA’s 22nd ‘So You Want To Be A Coach’ program.
- Named to Cayman Islands Classic All-Tournament Team.
