Tampa, Fla. Jan. 31, 2024 – South Florida women’s basketball (12-9, 4-4) hits the road for a two-game swing trip, facing Memphis (7-12, 3-5) on Thursday, Feb. 1 at 8 p.m. ET and UAB (15-5, 6-2) on Saturday, Feb. 3 at 5 p.m. ET. Both contests will stream live on ESPN+.

SETTING THE STAGE

USF looks to continue its winning ways after collecting a 54-40 win against East Carolina and snapping its three-game cold streak this past Sunday.

Memphis enters the contest as victors of three of its last four games after defeating Rice, 73-66 on the road last Thursday.

THE SOUTH FLORIDA-MEMPHIS SERIES

Thursday’s meeting will be the 32nd meeting between the two squads and the series spans back to the 1995-96 season. The Bulls are riding a five-game win streak against the Tigers. The most recent meeting was a 67-62 Bulls win on Jan. 28, 2023.

THE SOUTH FLORIDA-UAB SERIES

Saturday’s clash will be the 34th all-time pairing between the two programs, which extends back to the 1978-79 season. USF holds a five-game win streak against the Blazers. The last meeting was a 59-38 USF victory on Nov. 26, 2010.

LAST TIME OUT

South Florida is led by freshman guard Vittoria Blasigh (14.7 ppg). Blasigh (58 3PM) is ranked 15th nationally in total 3-pointers made. Redshirt junior forward Romi Levy (12.2 ppg) is the second Bull averaging double-digit points. Senior forward Evelien Lutje Schipholt leads on the glass with 7.2 rebounds per contest, which ranks 10th in the American. Redshirt senior guard Aerial Wilson dishes out a team-best 4.0 assists per contest. Wilson’s 85 total assists ranks fourth in the American.

BULL LEADERS

South Florida topped East Carolina, 54-40, at home on Sunday afternoon. The triumph marked the Bull’s 750th all-time win in program history. Redshirt junior forward Romi Levy collared 21 points, her 4th 20-plus point game of the season. Freshman guard Vittoria Blasigh added 10 points, her 14th double-digit point performance this season. Senior forward Evelien Lutje Schipholt grabbed 10 boards, noting her 7th game of 10 or more rebounds this season.

AAC BASKETBALL CHAMPIONSHIP TICKETS

For the fourth consecutive year, The American’s Men’s and Women’s Basketball Championships will be contested at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas. Both Championships expand to 14 teams this season with The Women’s Championship running March 9-13. Ticket packages for the Women’s Championship will be $85 per package.
