USF vs. Memphis Game Set for 7 p.m. kickoff

Bulls and Tigers will meet on Senior Day

TAMPA, Nov. 17, 2019 – The USF football team’s clash with No. 18 Memphis (9-1; 5-1 American) this Saturday at Raymond James Stadium has been set for a 4 p.m. kickoff on ESPNU.

The Bulls (4-6; 2-4 American) and Tigers will meet for the 10th time in USF’s Senior Day game. Memphis is coming off a 45-27 victory at Houston Saturday in which the Tigers reeled off 31 straight points behind quarterback Brady White’s 22 of 33 passing for 341 yards and a career-high-tying five touchdowns.

Memphis leads the all-time series with USF, 5-4, including a 3-1 mark in Tampa. This will be the first meeting since the Bulls posted a 49-42 victory in Memphis in 2016 on their way to an 11-2 season. Memphis will mark the Bulls’ second straight Top 25 ranked opponent and third on the season. The Tigers lead The American’s West Division.

The Bulls’ defense has strung together three very impressive performances in the last three games, including holding No. 17 Cincinnati to 46 yards and scoreless in the first half before falling on a final-second field goal Saturday. The Bearcats posted just 278 total yards and 20 points in the game, 128 yards and 12 points below their season average and their lowest scoring and total offense game of the year behind only a loss to current No. 2 Ohio State.

Among the seniors USF will recognize on Saturday in their final game at Raymond James Stadium are four offensive starters and five players that have started on defense this season. Among that group are tight end record setter Mitchell Wilcox (Tarpon Springs), top 10 all-time career rusher Jordan Cronkrite (Miami) and starting offensive linemen Marcus Norman (Sebastian) and William Atterbury(Clearwater) as well as standout defensive ends Greg Reaves (Bradenton) and Kirk Livingstone (Fort Lauderdale), leading tackler Patrick Macon (Memphis), starting safety Devin Studstill (Riviera Beach) and starting defensive linemen Darius Slade (Montclair, N.J.).

The seventh and final Horns Up Rally of the season will be held on Friday from 5-8 p.m. at Park & Rec (100 4th Street) in St. Petersburg.
