TAMPA, FLA. April 8, 2021 – The University of South Florida softball team returns home after a six game road stint for a four-game set against the Tulsa Golden Hurricane. The series begins on Friday at noon.

Due to virus mitigation measures and the size of the venue, fan attendance at USF Softball Stadium will be via team pass list only. All regular-season home games during the 2021 season will be broadcast on the ESPN+ platform.

The all-time series is tied at 9-9. USF is coming off a doubleheader against the Florida Gators, where UF took both games.


Opponent

Tulsa is currently 12-8 on the season with a 3-1 record in conference play. Last weekend, the Golden Hurricane took three of four games against No. 24 UCF.

Tulsa is led on offense by Kylie Norwood, who is hitting .391 in 69 at bats this season. Behind her, Alexis Perry has five home runs with a team-leading 17 RBIs. In the circle, Samantha Pochop has the most innings for the Golden Hurricane, tossing a 3.35 ERA in 39.2 innings.
