USF Softball: Bulls Drop Weekend Series Finale, 3-0

Alexis Johns sits three stolen bases from the single-season record

TAMPA, Fla., March 27, 2022 – The University of South Florida softball team dropped the weekend series finale to the UCF Knights, 3-0, on Sunday afternoon. It marked the first time USF has been swept in a conference series since March 24-26, 2017 against Tulsa.

UCF took a quick lead with a solo home run in the first inning off the bat of Kennedy Searcy.

The Knights added another two runs to the tally in the sixth as Jada Cody, who leads the country in RBIs, sent the first pitch of the at-bat over the center field fence for a two-run home run.

The Bulls rally attempts fell short in the seven, leaving the tying runner at the plate to end the game.
