USF Softball Adds Five to 2020 Signing Class

TAMPA, Nov. 13, 2019 – Head coach Ken Eriksen and USF softball welcome five new Bulls in their 2020 signing class. The class features new talent that has to ability to play all nine positions on the field. The class is composed of four student-athletes from around Florida and an outfielder from Pennsylvania. 
 
“We are extremely excited about our class of ’20 signees,” said head coach Ken Eriksen. “This class ranks up there with some of the best athletic classes of softball players at USF. This class runs the gamut of all nine positions and also adds to our depth of successes in the classroom. I know it’s ‘coach speak’ but August 2020 will be an exciting time for these young women and our team at USF.”
 
2020 Signees 
Hallie Bryant | Trenton, Fla. | Trenton High School
Bryant, an infielder, joins the Bulls after a dominant career with Trenton High School. Hitting with a .507/.534/.542 slash through her junior year, she’s a threat everywhere on the field, boasting 97 stolen bases and 53 RBIs in her high school career. The Floridian was named the 2018 Small School Player of the Year by the Gainesville Sun and is also a member of the Gainesville Gold. Bryant helped lead her team to the Florida State Championship game in 2018 and won the title game in 2019.
 
Allana Consolazio | Fort Myers, Fla. | Fort Myers High School
Consolazio is an outfielder from Fort Myers, Fla. The 2017 FHSAA state champion also returned to the state’s final four in 2018 and 2019, while picking up multiple accolades along the way. In her high school career, the Floridian has a .473 batting average with 36 RBIs. Off the field, Consolazio excels in the classroom as an International Baccalaureate student and as a member of the National Honor Society.
 
Josie Foreman | Royal Palm Beach, Fla. | Oxbridge Academy
A three-time member of the 4A All-State First Team, Foreman is a catcher from Royal Palm Beach, Fla. A hitter with power, Foreman has totaled 22 home runs with 129 RBIs in her high school career. She was named All-County First Team by the Palm Beach Post three times, as well as the Sun-Sentinel’s Small School Player of the Year twice. 
 
Lexie Kopko | Stewartstown, Pa. | Kennard-Dale High School 
Kopko is a three-sport athlete from Stewartstown, Pa., who’s been dreaming of being a Bull for years. Primarily an outfielder, Kopko hit .525 with 24 RBIs in her sophomore year of high school. She is also a star on the volleyball and basketball team at Kennard-Dale High School. She’s earned her spot on the distinguished honor roll in each year of high school and is also a member of the Academic Letter Society.
 
Alanah Rivera | Gulfport, Fla. | Boca Ciega High School
Rivera joins the Bulls from Boca Ciega High School in Gulfport, Fla. A pitcher and a shortstop in high school, she tallied a 2.08 ERA and a .429 batting average. As a pitcher, she accumulated 259 strikeouts in 31 appearances, while also boasting an .800 slugging percentage. Among her various accolades, Rivera was a Spectrum Scholar Athlete in 2019.
