TAMPA, FEB. 18, 2020 –The USF women’s sailing team opened 2020 at home Saturday and Sunday, hosting the USF Women’s Intersectional Regatta.

Fantastic weather greeted the host USF Bulls and nine visiting teams for the USF Women’s Intersectional Regatta this weekend. Each school had two entries, one in the A division and the B division, but everyone sailed together with combined scoring, so there were 20 boats on the starting line for each race.

USF was victorious, led by Marina Barzaghi sailing to first place overall with Chloe Sweeting in the early races and then Carolina Rovira. Freshmen Sydney Monahan and Lily Theisen finished 9th overall.
