2020 Men’s Soccer Schedule

TAMPA (Jan. 14, 2021) – University of South Florida men’s soccer head coach Bob Butehorn announced on Thursday the Bulls’ upcoming season schedule. The Bulls’ 2020 schedule, moved from the fall to the spring due to the pandemic, includes home-and-home meetings with American Athletic Conference foes, totaling a 10-match, double-round-robin regular season schedule of league matchups.

“We’re looking forward to the inter-conference double-round-robin format as it will resemble more of a league table,” said Butehorn. “The opportunity to have a proper week of preparation for opponents should make for some exciting and entertaining games this spring.”

All of the Bulls home matches on the season will be streamed live on the ESPN+ platform. Fan attendance policies for home matches will be announced at a later date.

Following a preseason exhibition meeting with FIU on Jan. 30 at Corbett Stadium, USF will begin the regular season with back-to-back home matches against Temple on Feb. 6, and defending AAC Champion SMU on Feb. 13. The Bulls then hit the road for the first time at UCF, in the first edition of the War on I-4 on Feb. 20, and then its second meeting of the month against Temple on Feb. 27.

After a meeting with Tulsa at home on March 6, the Bulls will take the pitch at Memphis on March 13, and at SMU on March 20.

USF closes out the regular season with two of the final three matches at the friendly confines of Corbett Stadium, first against UCF on Oct. 24, and then against Memphis on Oct. 31. USF closes out its 10-match regular season at Tulsa on April 9.

The four-team American Men’s Soccer Championship will be held April 15 and 17, at the site of the No. 1 seed based on regular-season standings. In the event that the No. 1 seed is unable to host the championship due to travel restrictions or state or local regulations, the site shall be the campus of the next-highest seed.

The American Athletic Conference and ESPN began a new 12-year television rights agreement starting in 2020-21. USF will stream numerous home athletic events to ESPN+ this spring. Subscriptions for the ESPN+ app are $5.99 monthly or $49.99 annually and can be packaged with Hulu and Disney+ streaming services. A step-by-step guide for subscribing to ESPN+ is located here.
