USF Men’s Soccer Returns to the Pitch for Regular Season on Aug. 26

The Bulls will play 12 home matches at Corbett Stadium in 2021 and will operate at 100 percent capacity.

2021 Men’s Soccer Schedule

TAMPA (July 30, 2021) – University of South Florida men’s soccer head coach Bob Butehorn announced on Friday the Bulls’ schedule for the 2021 season. The Bulls’ second campaign of the calendar year, after moving the 2020 fall schedule to last spring due to COVID-19, includes home-and-home meetings with all American Athletic Conference teams, totaling a 10-match, double-round-robin regular season schedule of league matchups. The Bulls will also play six nonconference tilts and kick the season off with three exhibition matches, all played at Corbett Stadium.

“It will be fantastic to have our fans back in Corbett Stadium this fall,” said USF head coach Bob Butehorn. “This challenging fall schedule should provide our fans and players with another exciting season of games.”

All of the Bulls home matches on the season will be streamed live on the ESPN+ platform.

Corbett Stadium will return to full-capacity seating for fans for the first time since Nov. 9, 2019, a 647-day span.

Three preseason exhibition meetings will get the Bulls started, beginning with the University of Tampa, in the 42nd Annual Mayor’s Cup/Rowdies Cup on Aug. 17. Exhibitions with Saint Leo on Aug. 19 and Florida Southern on Aug. 21 will follow.

USF will open the regular season with back-to-back home matches against Jacksonville on Aug. 26 and UNC Wilmington on Aug. 29. The Bulls hit the road for the first time at Florida Gulf Coast on Sept. 2, and then head to South Carolina to face perennial national power, Clemson, on Sept. 6.

After home tilts against Stetson on Sept. 10 and North Florida on Sept. 14 to close out nonconference action, USF will welcome Tulsa to Corbett Stadium on Sept. 18 for the American Athletic Conference opener for both sides.

The Bulls will play three of their next four matches on the road, including at SMU on Sept. 24, at Tulsa on Oct. 3, and at Temple on Oct. 9. The lone home matchup during a four-match stretch will be the first edition of the War on I-4 on Sept. 29 against UCF.

Memphis and SMU visit Corbett Stadium for consecutive home matches on Oct. 15 and Oct. 22, respectively, before the Bulls play back-to-back road matches at UCF on Oct. 27 and at Memphis on Oct. 31.

USF closes out the regular season at home on Nov. 5 against Temple.

The four-team American Men’s Soccer Championship tournament will be held Nov. 10 and 13, at the site of the conference No. 1 seed based on regular-season standings.
