USF Men’s Golf: Bulls Finish 9th at Lake Las Vegas

Jaglan leads USF shooting even par for an 18th-place tie

Henderson, Nev., March 1, 2023 – The USF men’s golf team finished tied for ninth at the Lake Las Vegas Intercollegiate in Henderson, Nev. on Wednesday.

The 15-team, 54-hole tournament was played over three days with the Bulls posting a total of 19-over par 883 and tying with Kentucky. No. 42-ranked Little Rock won the tournament with a three-round total of 20-under par 844 on the Reflection Bay Golf Club course (Par-72, 7,20 Yards).

The Bulls were led by Shubham Jaglan (So., Delhi, India) who posted rounds of 70, 73 and 73 for an even-par total of 216 good for a tie for 18thChase Gullikson (So., Orlando, Fla.) finished tied for 28th at 2-over par, 218 after posting an opening round of 70, his best score of the 2022-23 season.

Notables

• Chase Gullikson’s opening round 2-under par, 70 was fueled by eight birdies on the day and marked his best score of the season. Gullikson posted 14 birdies on the tournament.

• Shubham Jaglan posted an eagle on the par 5, 12th hole in the second round. He equaled Gullikson with 14 birdies on the tournament.

• Jake Peacock posted an eagle on the par 5, 9th hole in round one.

The Bulls return to action March 13-14 at the Ross Collegiate Classic at Mid Pines Golf Club in Pinehurst, N.C.

The USF men’s golf program has captured 17 conference titles and has seen players earn 19 All-America honors. The Bulls have won five American Athletic Conference Tournament championships in wire-to-wire fashion, winning four-consecutive from 2015-18. The Bulls have had four individual conference champions, including Albin Bergstrom in 2021, and gone on to earn nine straight NCAA Regional appearances, including a 6th place finish in NCAA Championship match-play in 2015.
