TAMPA (January 2, 2024) – The American Athletic Conference has announced its 2024 Preseason All-Conference Team along with the coaches poll for the upcoming season. Bobby Boser, Drew Brutcher, Jack Cebert, Ben Rozenblum and Eric Snow were each selected to the Preseason All-AAC team, representing the University of South Florida.
South Florida was tabbed fifth in the preseason coaches poll for the 10-team league which welcomes Charlotte, UTSA, Florida Atlantic, Rice and UAB to its membership for the 2024 season.
USF’s five selections to the Preseason All-Conference Team were second only to ECU, who had six players selected and was voted as the favorite to win the league.
Boser (Wesley Chapel) had a breakout campaign in 2023 and was named to the All-AAC First Team. As a sophomore last season, he led the Bulls with 15 home runs which tied for ninth all-time in program single-season history. Boser also logged career highs in batting average (.323), runs (45), walks (28) and RBI (41). He led the AAC in slugging (.744) and ranked fifth in batting average (.367) during league play. Boser was also tabbed a Cape Cod League All-Star this past summer.
Brutcher (Lakeland) enters his senior season ranked sixth all-time in USF history for career home runs (34). The slugger lands on the Preseason All-Conference Team for the third time and was named to the 2023 All-AAC First Team at the conclusion of last season. Brutcher was the only Bull to start all 60 games last year and led the team in runs (47) and walks (32), and shared the team lead in RBI (45) and extra-base hits (25).
Cebert (Tampa) was named to the 2023 All-AAC Second Team after leading the staff in innings pitched (76.2). The right-hander went 4-4 with a 5.05 ERA and ranked third on the team in strikeouts (65) while issuing only 21 walks. Cebert shared the team lead with five quality starts.
Rozenblum (Coral Springs) enters his third and final season with the Bulls in 2024. The redshirt senior has played in 78 games over the last two seasons at USF and posted a .259 batting average. Rozenblum closed the 2023 campaign on a high note, helping lead the Bulls to the conference tournament semifinals with a .500 batting average and seven RBI en route to being named to the AAC All-Tournament Team.
Snow (Forsyth, Ga.) burst onto the scene as a true freshman in 2023. The shortstop was named a Freshman All-American by Collegiate Baseball Newspaper and Perfect Game, the AAC Defensive Player of the Year, a unanimous All-AAC First Team selection and to the AAC All-Freshman Team. Snow led USF last season in batting average (.343) and hits (73), and shared the team lead in RBI (45), while belting eight home runs and 22 extra-base hits.
