ECU won the American regular season championship in 2021 and also advanced to the NCAA Regionals. USF hosts Stetson on May 17 and Wichita State on May 19-21 to conclude the regular season.

The American Championship will once again be held at BayCare Ballpark in Clearwater on May 24-29. NCAA Regional (June 3-5) and Super Regional (June 10-13) sites will be determined in May. The 2022 College World Series (June 16-27) will be played at TD Ameritrade Park in Omaha, Nebraska.

South Florida won the 2021 American Championship at BayCare Ballpark last season to earn the program’s 14th NCAA Regional appearance. The Bulls went on to become just the seventh Regional No. 4 seed ever to advance to a Super Regional – marking USF’s first-ever Super Regional berth. South Florida defeated host and nationally-ranked Florida, perennial powerhouse Miami and South Alabama to claim the Gainesville Regional crown.

The Bulls return seven starting position players from last season, two starting pitchers and their top bullpen arm. Carmine Lane was named to the American All-Conference Team in 2021. Daniel Cantu was named the AAC Tournament Most Outstanding Player while Lane, Jack Jasiak and Brad Lord were each named to the All-Tournament Team. Matt Ruiz and Nelson Rivera were each named to the Gainesville Regional All-Tournament Team. Lane and Drew Brutcher were both named Freshman All-Americans at the conclusion of the 2021 season.
