UF XC: Gators Cross Country Announces 2021 Schedule

Florida is set to compete in five meets, including annual home opener Mountain Dew Invitational.

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Florida released its cross country schedule for the 2021 season and the Gators are set to compete in five meets before regionals, including the annual Mountain Dew Invitational held in Gainesville.

The Gators will open their cross country season at home with the Mountain Dew Invitational on Sept. 11. Following the season opener at home, the Gators will be on the road for the rest of the year starting with an action-packed day on Oct. 1 when Florida will split the team up for two meets – the Notre Dame Joe Piane Invitational in South Bend, Ind., and the UCF Invitational in Orlando, Fla.

This will be the first time since 2015 that the Gators will compete in the Joe Piane Invitational. Florida also ran in the UCF Invitational in 2019, when the men’s squad placed first and the women’s team finished in second.
