Bindi Earns CoSIDA Academic All-District Honors
Her first career CoSIDA academic honor adds to a long list of academic accomplishments for the graduating senior.

Her first career CoSIDA honor adds to a long list of academic awards and accolades as she was recently named Florida’s female nominee for the H. Boyd McWhorter Scholar-Athlete of the Year, as well as an Outstanding Leader of UF’s Spring 2020 graduating class, the first student-athlete to earn the honor since 2015.
Additionally, Bindi earned SEC Academic Honor Roll status each year as a Gator. In 2018, she garnered CSCAA Academic All-American and UF’s Anderson Scholar Award with Highest Distinction honors.
The Gulf Breeze, Fla. native was involved around UF’s campus, serving as the President of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and represented the women’s swimming and diving program in monthly meetings with Athletic Director Scott Stricklin as a member of the Gators Leadership Experience.
Bindi, a Biochemistry major, leaves Gainesville after graduating with Cum Laude honors this spring boasting an overall grade point average of 3.94.
In the water, Bindi ended her career on a high note, setting three new personal-bests and swimming a leg of the 800 free relay at the 2020 SEC Championships. In 2019, she traveled to Austin, TX. to compete at the NCAA Championships as a member of the Gator 800 free relay.
Overall, the women’s swimming and diving team achieved great success in the classroom this season, setting records for highest team GPA (3.80) for the spring semester, as well as ringing in the most SEC Academic Honor Roll members (27) in program history.
Bindi and other All-District team members will now advance to the CoSIDA All-American ballot, with final honors being released on June 16-19.
