UF WGOLF | Gators in Third, Round Two Suspended Due to Darkness

Play will resume tomorrow at 8 a.m. with the resumption of round two and all of round three.

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Florida women’s golf team sits in third-place at the Gators Invitational as play was suspended halfway through round two due to darkness on Friday at Mark Bostick Golf Course.

The No. 10 Gators (+6) were through holes 11-13 before play was stopped at 6:15 p.m. Florida shot an opening round score of 285 (+5) and were tied for 4th before moving up a spot early into round two.

Arizona leads the field at 9-under followed by Clemson at 3-over and the Gators are three shots back of the Tigers at 6-over.

A trio of Gators shot an even par 70 in round one in Maisie Filler, Paula Francisco and Sarunchana Rattanasin. Playing in their first home tournament, Francisco is tied for 9th and even overall through 13 holes and Rattanasin is tied for 25th through 12 holes.

Jackie Lucena, who is 1-under in the round, is through 11 holes and T11. A shot each behind features Filler in T16 and Inès Archer T19.
