UF WGOLF | Gators Improve in Final Round of Windy City Classic

Annabell Fuller recorded her third straight top-15 finish this fall at T12.

CHICAGO – The Florida women’s golf team shot its best round to finish the Windy City Classic on Tuesday at Exmoor Country Club.

The Gators combined for a third-round score of 297, cutting eight strokes from its round one and six from its round two scores. UF finished 12th as USC won the tournament at +3 with South Carolina taking second at +12.

Annabell Fuller recorded her second team best finish of the season and third straight top-15 finish at T12. She bounced back after 3-over on the front with a clean back nine and two birdies to post a 73 (+1). The round marked her lowest of the tournament.

Right behind Fuller was Maisie Filler in T24. The duo has finished one and two in the Gators’ three fall tournaments and all inside the top-25.

Taylor Roberts and Karoline Tuttle both placed T54 followed by Jackie Lucena in T63.

Florida is off for the next two weeks after playing three tournaments in the last four weeks. The fall slate will wrap up at the Stanford Intercollegiate on Oct. 21-23.
