UF WGOLF: Florida in Third after First Eighteen

The Gators shot 7 over through the first round of competition.

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The Florida women’s golf team kicked off their fall slate today at the Blessings Collegiate Invitational where they currently sit in third place following the first round of competition.

In a field of 14 SEC teams, none were able to break even. Arkansas is currently in the lead with a collective 1-over par total.

Senior Addie Baggarly and freshman Maisie Filler led the way for the Gators, both carding a 1-under par score and sitting tied for third individually.

Filler carded seven birdies in her collegiate debut, including a span of four in a row to close out the front nine.

The Gators will tee it up tomorrow at 10:35 a.m. ET.
