UF WGOLF | Florida in Second After Day One of Liz Murphey

The Gators were led by the top of the lineup with three in the top-10.

ATHENS, Ga. – The top of the lineup led the Florida women’s team on day one of the Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic on Friday with three Gators in the top-10.

The Gators turned in a team score of 288 (E) to sit in second as Auburn owns the day one lead at 11-under.

Annabell Fuller shot a team-best 70 (-2) for her team-leading 10th round under par this season and third straight. Ranked No. 25 in Golfstat, she went birdie-birdie to carry momentum into the turn as she is tied for 5th and one shot off the solo lead.

Recording 1-under 70 rounds were Maisie Filler and Jackie Lucena. Their performance puts them in a tie for 8th. Lucena found her stride after +2 in the first nine with a three-under front nine outings that featured one bogey and four birdies in the last five holes.

Rounding out the lineup is Karoline Tuttle in T48 and Marina Escobar T55.
