GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The seventh-ranked Florida volleyball team (14-2, 14-2 SEC) continues its home stretch when the No. 25 Missouri Tigers (11-5, 11-5 SEC) come to town for a two-match series, beginning on Friday.
Friday’s first serve is slated for 1 p.m. on the SEC Network + and can be heard on the airways of 98.1 FM/850 AM. Saturday’s match will also air on the SEC Network + and can be heard on FloridaGators.com/watch.
UF holds the 8-5 record against Missouri with all matches coming under the helm of Mary Wise. Florida holds the 4-2 series advantage in Gainesville, Fla. and won the last matchup on Oct. 30, 2019 (3-2).
The spring portion of the 2020-21 SEC volleyball slate will consist of a 16-match, conference-only schedule. Those 16 matches will be played as two-match series, consisting of four home weekends and four away weekends.
Last Time Against Missouri
* The Gators won the Top-25 battle against the No. 24 Missouri Tigers on Oct. 30, 2019 in Columbia, Mo. (25-22, 17-25, 29-27, 20-25, 15-12)
* Florida had four Gators in double-digit kills – Thayer Hall posted a team-high 19, while Holly Carlton added 13. Paige Hammons and former Gator Rachael Kramer both pitched in 12 kills apiece on the night
* Marlie Monserez dished out 47 assists in the match to lead the squad
* Former Gator Allie Gregory led the backcourt defense, recording 16 digs in the match. Ham- mons and Monserez each recorded 10 digs apiece
* As a squad, Florida registered 13.0 blocks, led by six from Kramer. Monserez added five blocks of her own to tie her career-best mark. Carlton and Lauren Dooley each added four blocks on the night as well
* UF notched eight service aces on the night, led by three from Monserez – tying her career best mark. Hall added two in the match
