COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS – The seventh-ranked Florida volleyball team (17-3, 17-3) hits the road for the first time in a month to face off against the Texas A&M Aggies (9-7, 9-7 SEC) for a two-match series beginning March 24.

Wednesday’s first serve is slated for 7 p.m. ET on the SEC Network + and can also be heard on FloridaGators.com/watch. Thursday’s match is also set for 7 p.m. ET and will stream via the SEC Network +, as well as over the airways of 98.1 FM/850 AM.

Florida holds the 17-1 series advantage over Texas A&M, including a 15-1 record under Mary Wise’s tutelage.

The spring portion of the 2020-21 SEC volleyball slate will consist of a 16-match, conference-only schedule. Those 16 matches will be played as two-match series, consisting of four home weekends and four away weekends.

Last Time Against the Aggies

* The 15th-ranked Florida volleyball team clinched its 24th SEC Championship the last time the squad took on the Texas A&M Aggies in 2019 (25-17, 29-25, 25-18, 22-25, 15-13)
* The Gators were led on the offense front by Thayer Hall, who posted 16 kills in the match. Former Gator Rachael Kramer added 13, while Lauren Dooley pitched in 10 kills of her own
* Marlie Monserez dished out 40 assists in the match
* As a squad, Florida notched 10.0 blocks, led by a team-high five from Dooley. Holly Carlton registered four blocks, while Kramer added three in the match
* The backcourt defense was paced by former Gator Allie Gregory, who posted a career-high 25 digs on her Senior Night. Monserez and Carlton each pitched in 10 digs apiece, while Hammons and Riley Fischer each added eight in the win
* With the victory, the Gators became SEC Co-Champions with the Kentucky Wildcats. The 24th SEC Championship is the third-most by any sport (men and women) in the league since volleyball’s inception into the SEC in 1979
* Since 1984 – the inception of volleyball at Florida – the Gators have the second-most SEC Championships at the school, behind just women’s tennis
