The Gators return to Exactech Arena to face the Tigers beginning on Saturday

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The No. 15 Florida volleyball team returns home to Exactech Arena to host a two-match series against the LSU Tigers (RV) beginning on Saturday.
Saturday’s match – slated for 6 p.m. – is set to air on SEC Network + and can be heard on the airways of ESPN Gainesville 98.1 FM/850. Fans attending the Florida football game against Missouri can redeem their ticket for free entry into Saturday’s volleyball match.
Sunday’s first serve is set for 3 p.m. and can again be streamed on SEC + or heard on ESPN Gainesville 98.1 FM/850.
Florida is coming off a solid four-set road victory over the Tennessee Lady Volunteers on Wednesday night, while LSU completed the comeback win in five sets against Auburn earlier this week.
The Gators hold the 49-14 record against the LSU Tigers, including a 46-6 record under Mary Wise and a 23-5 advantage in Gainesville, Fla.

* The Stephen C. O’Connell Center parking lot will open at 5 p.m. for volleyball fans via Southwest 2nd Avenue

* The last time these two squads faced off was on Oct. 10, 2021 in Baton Rouge, La. and the Tigers came out victorious in a tightly-contested four set battle (25-22, 17-25, 21-25, 21-25)
* Former Gator T’ara Ceasar led Florida’s offensive attack on the afternoon, recording 16 kills. Gator alumna Thayer Hall registered 13 kills of her own, while Merritt Beason added eight in the four-setter
* Former Gator Marlie Monserez dished out 39 assists, to go along with four kills and one block on the afternoon
* As a team, Florida registered 6.0 blocks, led by four from Ceasar and three from Gator alumna Lauren Forte
* Monserez recorded a team-high 23 digs in the four-setter. Elli McKissock followed with 22 digs of her own, while Ceasar (16) and Hall (10) combined for 26 digs in the match
* McKissock notched a team-high three service aces on the afternoon, followed by one apiece from Trinity Adams and Merritt Beason

* The No. 15 Florida volleyball team topped the Tennessee Lady Vols in four sets on Wednesday night in Thompson-Boling Arena (26-24, 25-23, 16-25, 25-20)
* Marina Markova led the way for Florida on Wednesday night, securing the 17-kill performance in the match – a Florida-best for the senior. Sofia Victoria followed close behind with 12 kills, while Gabrielle Essix pitched in eight in the four-setter. Merritt Beason (7) and Bre Kelley (6) combined for 13 kills on the night
* Alexis Stucky dished out 43 assists in the match, leading the team to a .275 clip
* As a team, Florida tallied seven blocks on the night, led by a team-high five from Kelley. Beason added three, while Essix posted two in the victory
* Elli McKissock paced the backcourt defense, coming up with the 12-dig effort. Beason and Stucky each pitched in 10 digs in the victory
* McKissock also lead the way behind the service line, recording a team-high three service aces in the match
* Behind the service line, Beason finished the weekend with five aces, including tying her career-best four in Sunday’s matchup, while Stucky posted four
