UF VB | Dixon Joins Gators as Graduate Transfer

The Louisburg, Kan. native is set to join Florida for the 2023 season

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Florida volleyball program welcomes graduate transfer Anna Dixon to the 2023 squad, as head coach Mary Wise announced Thursday.

An SEC native, she comes to the Gators from Missouri, where she spent the last three seasons. Dixon, who hails from Louisburg, Kan. played her freshman season at Kansas State.

Senior Season (2022)

  *   Appeared in all 28 matches for the Tigers during her senior campaign
  *   Registered double-figure kills in 23 of 28 matches in 2022
  *   Recorded her 1,000th career kill against Georgia on Oct. 28
  *   Finished the season second on the squad in kills (353), kills per set (3.30), points (381.5) and points per set (3.57)
  *   Ranked fourth on the team in blocks (50.0) and blocks per set (0.47)
  *   Posted a season-high 19 kills twice on the year: South Carolina (10/1) and Auburn (10/15)
  *   Hit over .300 in eight matches this season, including a .459 clip against Auburn (10/15)
  *   Recorded a season-high five blocks against Abilene Christian (9/2)

Junior Season (2021)

  *   Appeared in all 31 matches, making 28 starts
  *   Recorded 380 kills, first on the team, while averaging 3.45 kills per set
  *   Produced double-digit kills in 23 matches
  *   Career-high 27 kills on .230 hitting against Auburn (10/17)
  *   Produced a career-high 6 blocks against South Dakota (9/5)
  *   Tallied 21 aces, 47 blocks and 173 digs this season

Sophomore Season (2020-21)

  *   Appeared in all 24 matches, making 10 starts in her first season with Mizzou
  *   Earned All-SEC honors
  *   Recorded 273 kills, second on the team, while averaging 3.00 kills per set
  *   Produced double-digit kills in 13 matches
  *   Season-high 20 kills on .349 hitting against LSU (1/29) followed by a career-best five aces against LSU (1/30)
  *   Had a span of eight-straight matches with double-digit kills (10/28-1/30)

Freshman Season at Kansas State (2019)

  *   Standout lone season at Kansas State, leading to All-Big 12 Rookie Team accolades
  *   Paced the Wildcats with 2.89 kills per set while ranking second on team with 292 kills and 326.0 points
  *   Also added 84 digs, 47 total blocks and nine aces to impressive first-year campaign
  *   Her 2.89 kills per set ranked ninth overall in the Big 12
  *   Was even more impressive in Big 12 play, as her 3.14 kills per set ranked seventh-best in the conference and 3.54 points per set ranked eighth
  *   Paced Wildcats in kills nine times, including a stretch of seven consecutive matches (Oct. 5-30)
  *   Surpassed 10-plus kills 17 times, highlighted by a string of 12-straight matches (Sept. 20 – Nov. 2)
  *   Produced season-best 21 kills in back-to-back Big 12 matches against Oklahoma (Oct. 16) and Kansas (Oct. 23)
  *   Prior to her collegiate debut at Kansas State, was one of 12 members on the 2019 USA Volleyball Women’s Junior National Team
