MOTOR CITY CRUISE FALL IN SHOWCASE FINALE

Las Vegas, Nevada – After a win in their last game, Coach Bakker and the Motor City Cruise were looking to win their second straight game to close out the Winter Showcase. Along with Kyler Edwards’s hamstring injury, the Motor City Cruise were more shorthanded, as Buddy Boeheim missed tonight’s game from a toe injury. The Cruise would close the gap, after striving to overcome a 25-point deficit. However, the Cruise fell short in the Showcase finale with a score of 112-100.

              Keifer Sykes and Stanley Umude would lead the way for Motor City with both dropping a total of 18 points. Umude was a couple of rebounds away from a double-double and tallied two assists. Sykes grabbed two rebounds and obtained eight assists. In just his second game with the Motor City Cruise, David Nwaba scored 16 points, grab seven rebounds, and tallied three assists. Lastly for Motor City, Devontae Cacok would secure another double-double for his second straight game back from injury. He scored 12 points and grabbed 15 rebounds.

              Kenneth Lofton Jr. had an outstanding night for Memphis, as he secured a double-double. Lofton scored 31 points and grabbed 12 rebounds. He also obtained seven assists in tonight’s game. Jake LaRavia followed up with 20 points, two rebounds, and four assists.

The Cruise closed out the Showcase with a record of 4-14. Memphis would finish at 11-7. Motor City Cruise will begin the regular season on December 27th. They will hit the road to take on Capital City Go-Go. Tip-off is slated for 7:00pm EST
