UF TF: Diggs and Moore Named to The Bowerman Women’s April Watch List

Jasmine Moore and Talitha Diggs are named to The Bowerman Women’s April Watch List

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Florida Gators Track and Field athletes Talitha Diggs and Jasmine Moore were named to The Bowerman Women’s April List Update, by the USTFCCCA on Wednesday afternoon.

Talitha Diggs has had an outstanding start to her 2023 outdoor season. At the Pepsi Florida Relays, Diggs improved upon her second-best outdoor 200m in school history by running a new outdoor personal best (22.61), earning her gold in the event. She also ran the first leg of the 4×100 in both the prelims (43.23) and finals (43.37). The prelims relay time was the sixth fastest in school history and the finals relay time was the eighth fastest in school history. Diggs final event was the 100m. Her time of 10.92 was not wind legal but would have been the fastest time in the world this year and the school record in the women’s outdoor 100m if the wind was legal.

Two weeks later, at the Tom Jones Memorial, Diggs ran the second leg of the 4×400 team (3:29.27) that finished third with the seventh fastest time in the nation this year. She also earned fifth in the 100m, running the fifth fastest time in the nation this year (10.96).

Jasmine Moore competed for the first time this outdoor season at the Tom Jones Memorial. Moore finished with gold in the long jump invite. Her mark of 6.98m/22’10.75″ is the farthest long jump in the country this year and is the fourth-farthest all-conditions jump in collegiate outdoor history. In the triple jump, Moore earned secured silver (13.91m/45’7.75″) with the third-farthest jump in the country and the fifth-farthest in the world this year.

The Gators continue their 2023 campaign on April 21-23 when they travel to the Virginia Challenge in Charlottesville, Virginia.
