UF TF: 63 Gators Named to the SEC Spring Honor Roll

13 Gators receive First Year SEC Honors

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Sixty-three Florida Gators Track & Field student-athletes were named to the 2023 Southeastern Conference Spring Academic Honor Roll, the league office announced this week.

The 2023 SEC Spring Academic Honor Roll is based on grades from the 2022-2023 academic calendar.

To be recognized to the SEC Academic Honor Roll, each student-athlete must 1) have a GPA of 3.00 for either the preceding academic year or have a cumulative GPA of 3.00 or above at the nominating institution; 2) be on scholarship, a letterwinner or have participated on a varsity team for two years if non-scholarship; 3) have completed 24 semester hours of non-remedial credit at the nominating institution; and 4) have been a member of the varsity team for the sport’s entire NCAA Championship segment.

The Gators excelled both in the classroom and on the track this year. The men’s team won the NCAA Outdoor Championship, the fourteenth in program history, and the women finished as National Runner-Up at the NCAA Outdoor Championship. Both the men’s and women’s teams earned third place finishes at the NCAA Indoor Championship.
