GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The No. 3/7 ranked Florida men’s and women’s swim and dive team secured their first sweep of the season, downing SEC opponent and No. 13/9 the Georgia Bulldogs on Friday afternoon inside the O’Connell natatorium. The men’s team registered its second consecutive ranked win, 175-125, and improved to 2-0 on the season (1-0 SEC). The women secured their first ranked win of the season with a 183-117 victory, and move to a 3-1 record (2-0 SEC)

The women claimed 13 first-place finishes, followed by 11 on the men side.

Women’s 1-meter, 3-meter diving
Ana Monroy set a season-high after scoring a 326.10 to place first in the 1-meter, while Caroline Pagac came in fourth at 264.23.

Monroy claimed first in the 3-meter as well, finishing with a 338.85. The freshman crushed her previous best score, 318.38 set against Virginia. Carina Lumia placed third with 306.09.

Men’s 1-meter, 3-meter diving
Conor Gesing continued his first-place winning streak, scoring a season-best 364.73 in the 1-meter. Peyton Donald finished in third with a 340.13, just ahead of Skip Donald’s 317.70.

Gesing, who has won two SEC Diver of the Week awards so far this season, scored a 375.00 on the 3-meter to place first. Skip Donald finished with a 365.85 score to place third, just ahead of Peyton Donald’s 340.05 score.

Women’s 200 Medley Relay
The A team of Bella Sims, Molly Mayne, Olivia Peoples, and Micayla Cronk swam a 1:38.68 to grab the Gators first top-finish. The B relay team came in fourth with a 1:43.14.

Men’s 200 Medley Relay
The A relay team of Jonny Marshall, Aleksas Savickas, Scotty Buff and Joshua Liendo finished in first with a time of 1:26.53. Florida’s B team, Cameron Abaqueta, Julian Smith, Jace Crawford, and Oskar Lindholm finished in third with 1:28.72.

Women’s 1,000 Freestyle
Caroline Pennington finished third, touching the wall in 9:47.39, while Anna Auld finished in fourth with 9:49.19. Madison Kolessar came in fifth with 9:57.96.

Men’s 1,000 Freestyle
Eric Brown (9:00.81) and Andrew Taylor ((:03.37) went two-three, while sophomore Giovanni Linscheer registered a new season-high 9:13.91 to finish fifth.

Women’s 200 Freestyle
Bella Sims took first with a B-cut time of 1:45.84, and JoJo Ramey finished fourth, touching the wall in 1:48.14 in her 200 free debut.

Men’s 200 Freestyle
Jake Mitchell swam a 1:35.64 B-cut time to come in second, just .08 behind first. Macguire McDuff swam a season-high 1:36.95, and Oskar Lindholm finished with a 1:38.37 in his 200 free season debut.

Women’s 100 Backstroke
The Gators took two of the three top-spots, with Isabel Ivey coming in first after touching the wall in 52.59 to record a B-cut time and finish ahead of Catie Choate. The freshman came in second after swimming a 53.88.

Men’s 100 Backstroke
Florida was led by freshman Jonny Marshall, who came in third at 47.62. Cam Abaqueta followed with a 49.42 to finish in fourth.

Women’s 100 Breaststroke
UF recorded three of the top-five spots, as Molly Mayne swam a career-high 1:01.08 to come in second. Anna Moore was close behind in third after tying her best time of 1:02.90. Freshman Grace Rainey clocked a 1:04.09 to come in fifth.

Men’s 100 Breaststroke
The Gators went 1-2-3, led by Julian Smith’s 53.74 to lead the rest of the field. Aleksas Savickas finished in second with a Florida career-best 53.86, with Peter Bretzmann behind him in third after recording his own Florida career-best 55.63.

Women’s 200 Fly
Florida recorded three B-cut times after claiming three of the top-four spots, with Lainy Kruger leading the event with a time of 1:58.49. Amanda Ray swam a season-best 1:59.02 to come in third, with Zoe Dixon behind in fourth with a 1:59.13.

Men’s 200 Fly
Freshman Josh Parent scratched a second off his previous time to clock a 1:48.64 to come in second. Jace Crawford came in third with a 1:49.70, just in front of Billy Jones’ 1:50.39.

Women’s 50 Free
Isabel Ivey posted a time of 22.85, leading her to a first-place finish. Olivia Peoples finished fifth, touching the wall in 23.32 to help extend Florida’s lead by 22.

Men’s 50 Free
Joshua Liendo continued to his successful start of the season, finishing 19.30 to secure first and record a new season-high. Freshman Scotty Buff shaved .01 off his previous best to swim a 20.67 and take fifth.

Women’s 100 Freestyle
Micayla Cronk’s 49.30 B-cut time put her in first place to earn nine points for the Gators.

Men’s 100 Freestyle
Florida captured three of the top-five spots, with McDuff leading with a 43.56, while Julian Smith followed in second after touching the wall in 43.94. Oskar Lindholm registered a 44.92 in his event debut.

Women’s 200 Backstroke
The Gators went 1-2-3, claiming three B-cut times. Catie Choate swam to a first-place finish after clocking a 1:55.71, as Emma Weyant swam to a 1:56.40 to come in second. Sophomore Zoe Dixon recorded a 1:58.05 in her event debut.

Men’s 200 Backstroke
Jonny Marshall secured another first-place finish after registering a B-cut time of 1:44.38. Sean Sullivan touched the wall in 1:47.76 to earn fifth.

Women’s 200 Breaststroke
Anna Moore shaved off over a second of her previous best to place second with 2:16.07. The freshman duo, Molly Mayne and Grace Rainey finished back-to-back in fourth and fifth after clocking 2:17.21 and 2:17.34, respectfully.

Men’s 200 Breaststroke
Florida took the top-two spots, lead by Aleksas Savickas, who finished with a 1:59.01. Peter Bretzmann recorded a season-best 1:59.38 to win second.

Women’s 500 Freestyle
Bella Sims secured her second individual first-place finish after swimming a B-cut time of 4:44.36, while JoJo Ramey recorded a 4:49.40 to come in fourth.

Men’s 500 Freestyle
The Gators took three of the top-four spots, with Jake Mitchell posting a B-cut time of 4:21.70 to lead him to second place. Eric Brown’s 4:27.89 put him in third, while Andrew Taylor finished in fourth with a 4:28.11.

Women’s 100 Fly
Oliva Peoples (52.65) and Isabel Ivey (53.15) went one-two after both posting B-cut times, while Aris Runnels finished in fourth with a 55.38.

Men’s 100 Fly
Liendo led the way with a B-cut time of 46.30, while Jace Crawford touched the wall in 47.41 for second place. Freshman Scotty Buff followed in third after swimming a 47.95.

Women’s 200 IM
Florida recorded three of the top-four spots, as Emma Weyant lead with 1:58.13. Zoe Dixon clocked a 2:00.24 in her season-event debut, while Julia Podkoscielny followed in fourth with 2:01.47.

Men’s 200 IM
Sean Sullivan lead the Gators to a second-place finish in his event debut, clocking a 1:50.34. Billy Jones touched the wall in 1:50.34 to a fourth-place finish, just ahead of Josh Parent’s 1:52.38.

Women’s 400 Free Relay
The A relay team of Bella Sims, Isabel Ivey, Olivia Peoples, and Micayla Cronk won the event by over three whole seconds with a time of 3:17-19.

Men’s 400 Free Relay
The A relay team of Joshua Liendo, Julian Smith, Jake Mitchell, and Macguire McDuff completed the 400 free relay sweep with a time of 2:55.74.

Up Next
The Gators are back in action on Nov. 3, when the teams travel to Knoxville, Tenn. for a top-25 tri-meet against both sixth-ranked Tennessee programs and the No. 19 women and No. 25 men Kentucky Wildcats at the Allan Jones Intercollegiate Aquatic Center. The meet is slated for a 11 a.m. start.
