UF SB: Gators Set For Top-5 Series At Texas A&M To Open SEC Play

Florida has won six-straight Southeastern Conference opening-weekend series.

COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The third-ranked Florida softball team opens Southeastern Conference play in College Station, Texas, on Friday, facing No. 5/4 Texas A&M in a three-game series from March 7-9.

The series between the Gators and the Aggies is one of two Top-10 conference match ups during SEC Opening Weekend.

All three games between Florida and Texas A&M will stream on SEC Network+.

The Gators (24-1) enter conference play boasting one of the best offensives in the NCAA with 17 run-rule victories on the season and in seven straight games.

The Orange & Blue lead the country in batting average (.403), hits (255), home runs (48), on-base percentage (.494), RBI (219), total runs (243) and is tied for No. 1 in sacrifice flies (15).

The Florida pitching staff has combined for 10 shutouts, third-most in the NCAA, and holds a 1.58 earned run average.
