Junior Gator will play on Wednesday in next round
ORLANDO, Fla. – Florida’s Sam Riffice advanced to the quarterfinals of the NCAA Singles Tournament after a dominant 6-2, 6-0 win over Illinois’ Siphosothando Montsi on Tuesday at the USTA National Campus.
Since Riffice and the Gators won the national championship over the weekend, the junior from Orlando has strung together three consecutive victories in as many days.
The UF captain is now scheduled to play the winner of Val Vacherot (Texas A&M) and Rinky Hijikata (North Carolina) in the quarterfinals on Wednesday with a start time TBD.
