UF MTN: No. 2 Florida Wins 11th-Straight Match in Sweep over FSU

Gators dominate Seminoles on Sunday

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – No. 2 Florida (14-1, 8-0 SEC) defeated Florida State (5-11, 0-6 ACC), 7-0, on Sunday at the Alfred A. Ring Tennis Complex inside the Perry Indoor Tennis Facility.
For the third match in a row, the Gators swept their opponent en route to their 11th-straight victory.

Will Grant and Johannes Ingildsen improved to 9-1 in dual matches this season with their win on No. 1 while Brian Berdusco and Ben Shelton clinched the doubles point on No. 3.

Duarte Vale (No. 1), Blaise Bicknell (No. 4), Josh Goodger (No. 5) and Lukas Greif (No. 6) all won their singles matches in straight sets while Sam Riffice (No. 2) and Andy Andrade (No. 3) mounted three-set comebacks after they both dropped their first sets.

UF continues to show its superiority in singles as the team moves to 77-13 in dual matches this season while Florida has also won the doubles point in eight-straight matches.

With four matches, all in the Southeastern Conference, remaining, the Gators will now prepare to host Arkansas on Friday at 5 p.m. ET at the Alfred A. Ring Tennis Complex.
