UF MGOLF | Florida Finishes Final Round of Stroke Play, Match Play Set for Tomorrow

The Gators finished 10th in stroke play and will take on Mississippi State in match play tomorrow at 10:23 a.m.

VESTAVIA HILLS, Ala. – The Florida men’s golf team finished the final round of stroke play on Tuesday at Old Overton Club, taking 10th.

The Gators combined to finish 9-under, marking the second event under-par through the first three tournaments this fall. Defending SEC Champion, Vanderbilt, won the stroke play portion with a score of 39-under.

After setting career bests in the season opener, Quentin Debove tied his 54-hole score of 203 (-7). He posted all three rounds in the 60s with a 1-under (69) today behind an eagle on 15 (par-4, 427 yards) to finish T12.

Ricky Castillo (T31) used his best round, a 67 (-3), to finish 2-under in stroke play. He wrapped up his final round with three birdies on the final five holes. A spot in front his fellow senior was John DuBois at 3-under overall in T23. He bounced back after +3 on the back to start the morning with a 1-under outing on the front.

Fred Biondi and Parker Bell rounded out the lineup in T52 and T66.

Florida concludes the tournament with match play vs. Mississippi State tomorrow at 10:23 a.m.
