UF MBK: Gators Sign Orlando’s Isaiah Brown

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Florida men’s basketball team signed 2024 guard Isaiah Brown out of Orlando, head coach Todd Golden announced on Wednesday. Brown helped Orlando Christian Prep to a 25-4 record as a junior in 2022-23 while averaging 18.6 points per game.

“We are thrilled to welcome Isaiah into our basketball program here at the University of Florida,” Golden said. “He’s an exceptional young man who possesses many of the qualities we look for when we recruit. First and foremost, he’s a winner that has been successful in every setting we’ve evaluated him in. He is a leader and has an infectious personality that unites his teams.

“As a player, he’s a relentless attacker of the rim in transition and has a knack for making winning plays on both ends. We are really happy to add him to our team.”

The 6-foot-5 Brown’s addition continues a strong connection to the central region of the state for the Gators, whose roster includes Orlando’s Riley Kugel and Denzel Aberdeen and Lake Wales’ Walter Clayton Jr.

Florida opened its 2023-24 campaign on Monday with a win vs. Loyola Maryland and returns to action Friday at 7 p.m., taking on Virginia in Charlotte in a Basketball Hall of Fame Series matchup.
